The first and one of the most enchanting adaptations of this classic play, this film served as direct inspiration for Walt Disney's iconic adaptation, and it's clear to see which parts of the film influenced him. PETER PAN was also one of the very first films that legendary costume designer Edith Head and cinematographer James Wong Howe worked on. The stunning special effects that allow Peter Pan and the tiny Tiger Lily (Anna May Wong) to fly, the magnificent set designs, and the outstanding performances, including Betty Bronston as Peter Pan and Ernest Torrence (previously seen at NSFF in Buster Keaton's STEAMBOAT BILL JR), still make this film just as magical a century later.
